Membership is open to professionals with clinical, research or academic specialisation in cognitive neuroscience, to consultants and professionals abroad, and to students in clinical or research training.
Categories
Associate Membership
For foreign and non-resident Indian consultants and professionals working in the Society's areas of specialisation.

Student Membership
For students engaged in clinical or research specialisation in cognitive neuroscience, with a certificate from the Head of Department. Uses Form B.
₹1,000 for two years
The Executive Committee may also invite Honorary Life Members, who do not pay a subscription. Fees are as fixed by the Executive Committee in the Bye-laws; a US-dollar tariff for overseas applicants is set on request.

How to apply
- Step 1
Complete the form
Form A for Primary and Associate membership; Form B for Student membership. Print in block letters and affix a photograph.
- Step 2
Attach credentials
Current affiliation, degree certificates, evidence of clinical or research work in cognitive neuroscience, publications; students add a Head-of-Department certificate.
- Step 3
Get nominated
An existing Member of the Society recommends the application and adds their membership number.
- Step 4
Send to the General Secretary
Post the form and subscription to the registered office. The Secretary approves eligible applications and the Executive Committee ratifies them.
Rights of members
- Attend and vote at General Body meetings — one vote per member
- Stand for election to the Executive Committee (Primary Members)
- Join one or more Core Interest Groups
- Conduct clinical services, training, conferences and workshops under the CNSI umbrella
- Receive a copy of the Bye-laws on joining
Keeping membership current
- Annual subscriptions fall due each financial year (1 April – 31 March)
- Membership lapses if the fee is unpaid three months after it is due
- Members must have cleared all dues to vote or stand in elections
- Lapsed members may re-apply on terms set by the Executive Committee

Who is eligible for CNSI membership?
Primary Membership is for professionals with clinical, research or academic specialisation in cognitive neuroscience; Associate Membership is for foreign and non-resident Indian professionals; Student Membership is for students in clinical or research training, with a certificate from their Head of Department.
How much does CNSI membership cost?
Primary: ₹5,000 for life or ₹3,500 a year. Associate: ₹3,500 for life or ₹2,000 a year. Student: ₹1,000 for two years.
